A glimpse of silver in the high Oregon desert sun!
That little patch of blue in the background is Ana Reservoir. The reservoir is fed by a number of small springs that produce a relatively constant year-round 80 to 90 cubic feet per second. The spring water is a constant 52 °F. This helps the reservoir and river maintain a relatively mild water temperature, even during the cold winter months.
Off to the Rally of Discovery
Now it’s time to head up to Ana Reservoir for the Rally of Discovery.
Abert Rim
Abert Rim in Lake County, Oregon is one of the highest fault scarps in the United States. It rises 2,490 feet above the valley floor (which is at 4,327 ft), finishing with a 820-foot sheer-sided basalt cap. My mother grew up in the shadows of the rim.
Chandler Park
Visiting a part of my family history, Chandler State Wayside located north of Lakeview towards Valley Falls. My grandfather’s brother donated this land to be used as a State Park. No camping here but many Dixie Cups eaten and horseshoe pitched!
Circle JM Drive-in
Staying at an old Circle JM drive-in theatre turned RV park in Lakeview, OR – watching a thunder storm roll through across the valley!
On the road again!
On our way to southeast Oregon for a visit and an Airstream rally. 
Big Eddy Park
This weekend we are at Big Eddy County Park, about seven miles north of Vernonia, OR. Rained Friday night, but Saturday was nice! Toni & Buddy dashed into Portland (Saturday) for the Humane Society’s Doggy Dash. Was nice to just chill by myself for the day.
On to Stub Stewart for the weekend
Brought Farran by the house to quickly throw in everything from the old trailer and headed for Stub Stewart State Park for the weekend. It was a rainy weekend so it gave us a chance to work inside and put everything away.
Farran comes home!
Today we brought Farran home – a 2014 Flying Cloud 30RB.
